The Creative Side - RSS Posts
RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, has been used since the mid 1990s. However, its potential as an essential marketing tool is now being realized. Marketers can use this technology to drive more customers to their Web sites, update their customers on corporate or industry news, and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. All of this translates into additional business, time saving benefits and increased ROI.
Listrak allows you to include RSS Feeds with each of your email sends. RSS is used to publish and distribute frequently updated Web content, such as blogs, news, and podcasts. RSS 2.0 is a specification for this content syndication format.
By enabling your email campaigns with RSS, your clients can subscribe to your feeds simply by clicking a button. This means that each time you publish new content, it will be sent to the contacts that have automatically subscribed to that RSS feed. You will not have to take the time to send them the information, and the contacts do not have to open their email inboxes to retrieve the information. The simply receive the RSS feeds through their RSS aggregator (such as those available in Google and Yahoo). Best of all, since you are not sending email messages through ISPs, you do not have to worry about the information being filtered or blocked.
To create a new RSS Feed in Listrak, simply click on the “Create New Feed” button under the RSS 2.0 Options section. The wizard will walk you through the steps, including required, optional and on page elements. Each RSS Feed can be edited anytime.
