Dynamic content, also known as dynamic message assembly, is a complex mail-merge technique that relies on a single message template with multiple, customizable fields. These fields merge with the information stored in the contacts’ profiles to create highly personalized and relevant emails based on each contact’s preferences. You simply create the different content blocks and define the business rules and the system inserts the right content in each individual message.
Because dynamic content campaigns contain many different versions of a message, they are tracked differently than messages that are sent to an entire list. With Listrak, you can still track the overall numbers for the entire email send across all of the different versions; however, Listrak also provides reports on each specific version of the message. For example, if your campaign went to 100 recipients, but 25 recipients got one version, 30 recipients got another version, 12 recipients got a third version, 23 got a fourth version, and 10 recipients got a fifth version, you will see results on all five versions of the message as well as on the entire campaign as a whole.
